- We have had a very busy week this week getting back into the routine of school and learning!
As the children are beginning to settle into the routine of Year 2 we would just like to inform you of a few important things.
The children have had a great week this week. We have finished learning about the last country in the UK, Northern Ireland. We have had great fun recreating the landmark of the big fish in Belfast and next week we will be rounding off our topic by learning about the seas around the United Kingdom.
We have had a wonderfully exciting week at school this week with all of learning for World Book Day. Gemma Barder, our visiting author gave a superb talk to the children about her life as an author. The children then asked her some fantastic questions. We were very proud of them.
The children have really enjoyed their learning this week. At the start of the week we did some of our termly tests with the children to assess how they are getting on with their reading, maths, grammar, punctuation and vocabulary. These termly tests help us see how the children are progressing with their learning and guide us with our planning.
