We have put together some links to useful sources of advice and information for parents about keeping children safe on the internet and when using the wide range of internet-capable devices they now have access to:
- Child Protection and Online Exploitation Centre advice for parents of primary school children – advice and videos
- UK Safer Internet Centre advice for parents includes guides to setting up parental controls provided by a number of internet service providers, guides to a range of devices, such as iPods, smartphones, games consoles, and general advice for keeping your child safe online.
- Anti-virus software company McAfee have published a useful Parent’s Guide to Social Networking
